We love 3D printing.
In case you haven’t heard, there’s something new that’s come to the printing sphere. No more for printing reports and papers, the printer is spitting out three-dimensional objects — to scale, no less. Matthew Kronsberg in Saturday, October 26th’s edition of the Wall Street Journal writes that “The manufacturing-on-demand revolution is not just for geeks. New online printing services let you whip up your own products (or simply shop for one) – no technical know-how required.
The article poses a photograph with six objects created by 3D printing – an action figure, a bracelet, a cookie cutter, egg cups (what’s an egg cup?), more jewelry, and a candleholder. What used to be something you could only buy in stores has now become a simple, architectural model for future creatives. The power of 3D printing will soon be at your fingertips.
What would you make if you had a 3D printer? How could this power your business?
